Climate Commitments
- As part of Vale’s global decarbonization strategy, all business units, including Vale in Oman, are aligned with the following climate goals:
- 33% Emissions Reduction (Scope 1&2): Cut greenhouse gas emissions from our direct operations by 33% by 2030.
- Net-Zero by 2050: Achieve net-zero emissions from direct operations (Scope 1 & 2) by 2050.
- Scope 3 Reduction: Reduce net Scope 3 (supplier and client) emissions by 15% by 2035.

Social Responsibility & Community Investment
Jusoor is a non-profit foundation committed to enhancing quality of life and fostering community development in North Al Batinah Governorate. Established in 2012, it serves as the social investment arm of Sohar Aluminium, Vale in Oman, and OQ. Through long-term partnerships and targeted initiatives, Jusoor delivers positive and lasting change in the areas of environment, education, and community well-being.
