Community Scholarship for East Luwu

At PT Vale Indonesia, we are dedicated to community development and sustainability, and we are excited to introduce the Community Scholarship — an initiative aimed at empowering high-potential youth from East Luwu. 

For the 2025/2026 fiscal year, this program continues to support advanced studies, including master degrees, nurturing the future leaders who will drive positive change in their communities.

Building a Future Together

Through the Community Scholarship, PT Vale is committed to opening doors for students ready to make a meaningful contribution to East Luwu. With educational assistance of IDR 20,000,000 (twenty million rupiah) per semester for up to four semesters, this program offers financial support alongside opportunities for growth, learning, and community leadership.

Requirements and Application Process

We seek individuals who not only excel academically but also possess forward-thinking vision and integrity. The program requirements include:
  • Eligibility: Outstanding individuals from East Luwu pursuing a PhD at a high-accreditation university.
  • Academic Achievement: A minimum GPA of 3.50 for STEM fields and 3.75 for social sciences.
  • Independence: Not currently receiving other scholarships, and parents are not permanent employees of PT Vale or government institutions.

Commitment and Responsibilities of Recipients

Scholarship recipients are expected to be proud ambassadors of learning by:
  • Maintaining excellent academic performance throughout their studies.
  • Submitting progress reports each semester.
  • Producing scholarly work focused on social and environmental themes, contributing thoughtful insights to their home region.
  • Completing their studies and returning to East Luwu to serve for at least one year in the company, helping to build and strengthen the community with their expertise.

Selection Process and Application Timeline

The Community Scholarship is open to those ready to take the next step. PT Vale conducts a rigorous selection process to ensure that this scholarship is a genuine investment in the future of the community:
  • Program Socialization: May 19 - 24, 2025.
  • Document Submission: May 26 - 30, 2025.
  • Candidate Verification and Selection: June 2 - 5, 2025.
  • Scholarship Announcement: June 9, 2025.
  • Scholarship Fund Disbursement: July 2025.
