Integrity in Action: Building Trust and Sustainable Value
In 2025, PTVI navigated significant operational challenges, including an oil pipeline leakage, alongside market volatility and evolving regulatory expectations. These dynamics necessitated a strategic reassessment of operations, risk management, and prioritization.
The company's response was guided by the theme “Integrity in Action: Building Trust and Sustainable Value.” This approach focused on translating integrity into concrete organizational actions, addressing complacency, and enhancing agility, accountability, and continuous improvement across all levels.
Key developments during the year included:
- Leadership and Governance Enhancements: Appointment of a new CEO, changes in the Board of Commissioners, and organizational restructuring aimed at strengthening decision-making, oversight, and alignment between strategy, operations, and sustainability.
- Intensified Stakeholder Engagement: Greater emphasis was placed on transparent communication and active engagement with affected communities, regulators, and other stakeholders, particularly in response to operational issues like the pipeline leakage. This ensured timely information sharing, addressed concerns, and supported recovery efforts, reinforcing a commitment to building trust through openness and accountability.
The lessons learned and improvements implemented throughout 2025 have fortified PTVI's foundation for resilience. Integrity continues to be the guiding principle for response, governance, and stakeholder engagement, underscoring its essential role in building trust and sustaining long-term value.

Dear esteemed stakeholders,
The global energy transition continues to reshape the economic landscape, with Indonesia playing a central role as the world’s largest nickel reserve holder and advancing its downstreaming policy to support low-carbon development. However, rapid expansion has also led to oversupply and price pressure, highlighting the need to balance growth with responsibility.
Amid these dynamics, PTVI maintained operational resilience while aligning decisions with sustainability principles. A major challenge occurred on 23 August 2025, when an oil pipeline leak in Lioka, Towuti, impacted surrounding waterways and farmland. PTVI responded with urgency, transparency, and accountability, including containment efforts, stakeholder engagement, and collaboration with independent experts. Environmental rehabilitation and community compensation remain ongoing.
Operationally, PTVI delivered solid performance, with nickel matte production reaching 72,027 metric tonnes and total operating revenue rising 4.19% to US$990,195 thousand, supported by contributions from IGP Morowali and IGP Pomalaa. Profit increased 31.68% to US$76,063 thousand.
PTVI also advanced strategic projects, strengthened governance and ESG performance, improved environmental metrics, and reinforced its commitment to safety, community development, and long-term sustainable value creation.
We believe sustainability is not a commitment expressed once a year, but a responsibility we renew through our actions every day.
Thank you for walking this journey with us.

Sustainability in Our Operations
To reinforce commitment to responsible mining at the highest level, we have embedded it into a formal Sustainability Policy, last amended in 2024 and embedded in our strategic planning, decision-making processes, and operational oversight.
We ensure that sustainability is not only a guiding principle, but a strategic lever that shapes decisions, drives transformation, and anchors the long-term direction of our operations that aligned with responsible business practices and effective risk management.
2025 Materiality Review and Prioritisation
Our sustainability approach is guided by the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), particularly GRI 3: Material Topics 2021. In accordance with this standard, material topics are determined based on the significance of our impacts on the economy, environment, and people, including human rights, as well as the level of stakeholder interest and concern. We also assess the potential implications of sustainability-related topics on our operations and financial performance.
This process resulted in the identification of 18 sustainability topics, representing the most relevant ESG issues across our operations and value chain and were consolidated and prioritised into six material topics across environmental, social, and governance dimensions. These topics serve as the basis for further prioritization and continue to inform our strategy, risk management, and disclosures.
