We believe in respect for diversity and inclusion

Commitment to diversity and inclusion

We believe in respect for diversity and inclusion. With this in mind, we have developed our website following best practices in digital accessibility for people with disabilities.

To ensure this standard, we strictly follow international and national guidelines:

  • WCAG 2.1: Web Content Accessibility Guidelines established by the W3C.
  • e-MAG: Electronic Government Accessibility Model, from the Brazilian government.
With this in mind, our website was developed considering the best practices of digital accessibility for people with disabilities (WCAG 2.1, from W3C, and e-MAG, from the Brazilian government).

Digital accessibility at Vale

Vale believes that respect for diversity and inclusion must be present across all channels. Therefore, the website was developed following the international Web Content Accessibility Guidelines – WCAG 2.1 and the national e-MAG standards (Electronic Government Accessibility Model).

These guidelines support the creation of more accessible digital environments for people with disabilities, elderly people, and all users who rely on assistive technologies or navigate the website using a keyboard.

Accessibility shortcuts

In practice, vale.com pages were designed to reduce navigation barriers, with attention to content organization, readability, color contrast, and compatibility with screen readers.

0 – Home
1 – Accessibility page
2 – Increase font
3 – Decrease font
4 – Toggle high contrast mode
5 – Open and close search

Note: keyboard shortcuts work via the keyboard and may vary depending on the browser and operating system used.
