PT Vale is committed to conducting business with integrity and has zero tolerance for corruption and bribery in any form.
Anti-Corruption Policy
The Company maintains an Anti-Corruption Policy (last updated April 11, 2025) and an Anti-Corruption Manual (July 1, 2025), applicable across PT Vale. These instruments strengthen the culture of integrity and regulatory compliance. The policy covers, among others, gifts and hospitality, social and environmental investments, engagement with government officials, third-party due diligence, transparency in government relations, and anti-corruption training.
Gratification and Gift Control
Rules on gratification, gifts, hospitality, and entertainment are set out in the Code of Ethics and Conduct and the Anti-Corruption Policy. Such practices are generally discouraged, but may be allowed in cultural contexts or institutional partnership celebrations. They must not influence decisions or provide improper advantages and must not involve cash or cash equivalents.
Any exchange must: (a) be solely for institutional (non-business) purposes; (b) be transparent; (c) avoid conflicts of interest; and (d) comply with internal regulations.
Policy Socialization
The Company promotes compliance through annual anti-corruption training and stakeholder outreach. Priority is given to functions interacting with government institutions, such as Procurement, External Relations & Permitting, and Human Resources.
Implementation
PT Vale utilizes an e-procurement system to reduce corruption risks and ensure contract transparency, with all contracts including anti-bribery clauses. Reporting channels are also provided, including the Whistleblowing System (WBS). During the reporting period, no corruption-related allegations were recorded.
