In order to make the Vale Botanical Park more receptive and suitable for everyone, we are currently undergoing accessibility work.Some of our attractions are also being redesigned. We want your experience with us to be even more special.
What you will find in Vale Botanical Park in Vitória:
In the midst of the 33 hectares of Atlantic Forest that make up the park, there are several species of native fauna and flora. There are 140 varieties of trees, 21 species of amphibians, 14 of reptiles, 131 of birds, 5 of wild mammals and 7 species of bats.
Regarding leisure options, the space has a Sensory Garden, Orchid Garden, Knowledge Railroad Car and several other activities developed from a monthly schedule.

Environmental Education Program
Environmental Education Program
The Environmental Education Program aims to spread knowledge and sustainable attitudes and, therefore, encourages the participation and involvement of society with the preservation of biodiversity and the environment.
The activities are carried out in four modules throughout the year and involve a series of actions such as lectures, dynamics, competitions and videos. They are developed in partnership with elementary education institutions in the municipality of Vitória and Serra, private education schools and institutions serving people with disabilities.

How about gathering family and friends for a picnic? In the Botanical Park, you will find a large green area, with grass and trees, to gather your group. Just provide the food of your choice, a large towel, beach mats or beach wraps and enjoy.
Celebrations such as birthdays are allowed, as long as certain restrictions are respected: it is not allowed to use balloons of any type, decorative wooden crates and pallets, candles, not allowed to use the park's trees as support for objects or hire a private recreation service and the like.
One more important tip: sometimes, marmosets visit the picnic area. So be careful, as all foods are unsuitable for the animals that live in the Park. Do not feed them.

In the park's orchid garden, there is a wide variety of orchids, and each species needs specific care. Within it, we are able to reproduce different types of weather, specific needs for humidity, ventilation and exposure to light.
The visitation is open from Tuesdays to Sundays, from 9 am to 12 pm, and from 1 pm to 4:30 pm.
Knowledge Railroad Car
Knowledge Railroad Car
Create and strengthen the habit of reading, awakening the capacity for imagination, creativity and dissemination of culture to the population. This is the proposal of the Knowledge Railroad Car. It is an important project of the Vale Botanical Park and functions as a library, with a capacity for 3,500 copies. From technical content on mining to the environment, the books tell the story of Vale and its production process. The collection also includes audiobooks and works for children and teenagers. On the Ecological Trails of the Vale Botanical Park, you can take walks and contemplate native species that make up the flora and fauna of the Southeast region of Brazil.

Free Movement Program
Free Movement Program
With the objective of promoting the physical and mental health of the participants, the Program has served around 300 students since 2008. The methodology applied consists of simple and effective classes with teachers registered by the Federal Council of Physical Education.
Every month, participants donate 3 kilos of non-perishable food as a “monthly fee” for the project, per year, around six thousand tons are collected.

The Sensory Garden provides a unique experience by sharpening, through contact with plants, the five senses: touch, taste, hearing, smell and vision. The sensations generated by this experience expand the interaction with nature and the sensitivity to care for the environment.

Usage Rules
We exist to offer leisure, education, culture, health, well-being, and contact with nature to our visitors. To make your visit more enjoyable, certain rules must be observed:he days and hours for visiting the Vale Botanical Park are from Tuesdays to Sundays, from 8 am to 5 pm:
- We operate from Tuesday to Sunday, from 8am to 5pm;
- Boarding and disembarking must be done in the parking lot;
- The waste must be deposited in appropriate locations, respecting the selective collection;
- The trails must be booked with an environmental counselor accompanying you and the use of appropriate footwear (closed shoes without heels, sneakers or boots) is mandatory;
- The picnic can only be held on the grassy area;
- The use of the Playground's toys is restricted to children up to 12 years old;
- Filming and/or photography for commercial purposes must be previously validated by the Administration;
- The Vale Botanical Park is not responsible for objects and materials left on any of its premises.
- Smoking;
- Consuming or entry with alcoholic beverages or illicit drugs;
- Damaging objects, furniture, buildings and landscape assets;
- The entry of domestic animals or remaining inside vehicles, except in the cases foreseen in Federal Law 11.126, of 27.6.2005, (guide dogs);
- The use of fire, including barbecues, bonfires or candles;
- Access carrying weapons of any kind;
- Parking in unauthorized places, except in cases of emergency situations that may compromise the integrity of natural resources or human life;
- Access by motorcycle or bicycle, electric or not;
- Entering/walking trails, roads or accesses that are not authorized or restricted locations to employees only;
- Photo and filming shoots wearing beach clothes, underwear or shirtless;
- Leaving belongings or removing tables and chairs from the snack bar;
- Use of ball, shuttlecock, bicycle, rollerblades, skateboards, roller skates, drones, among other similar equipment;
- Any kind of celebrations or gatherings that do not meet the park's regulations, as well as hiring any type of recreation;
- To use, glue, hang, puncture or nail balloons, banners, flags, and any other objects on trees/toys/grid and other structures, as well as to bring tables, chairs (except beach chairs), pallets, crates and other structures for celebrations and photo shoots;
- The use of speakers or any other instruments that cause noise, except when used in events offered and organized by the park;
- Climbing trees;
- Feeding, injuring or disturbing animals;
- Removing and introducing plants and animals;
- Accessing, throwing stones, sticks, leaves and or any object into the lakes, fountains and lagoons, as well as touching the fish;
- Any type of street commerce, except for services authorized by the Administration;
- Any kind of pamphleting or commercial advertising.
- The photographer and their team must fill in the data in the photographers' diary book, available at reception. This filling must be done at each visit to the Vale Botanical Park.
- The photographer must be properly identified with the credential/identification bracelet that they will receive when filling in the data at the Vale Botanical Park administration and this must be placed immediately. At the end of the photo essay, the credential must be removed and deposited in the gray bin.
- The use of the space for filming and/or photographs for commercial and/or publicity purposes must be previously scheduled and can only be carried out with authorization from the Park's management.
- Failure to comply with the rules described below will result in a 30-day suspension of the right to photograph in the Park.
It is strictly prohibited for professionals to:
- Carry out their work after opening hours. The Vale Botanical Park is open from Tuesdays to Sundays, from 8 am to 5 pm.
- Stop or park vehicles on the access roads to the Park (entrance and uphill) or film and photograph these vehicle circulation roads.
- Photographing or filming inside the forest (ecosystem restoration area) without authorization, respecting the limits of wooden fences.
- Climb, stick, hang, pierce or nail balloons, banners, flags and any other objects on trees/toys/lawn and other structures in the Park, as well as bringing bicycles, benches, crates, tripods to hang ornaments and other structures for photographers, videographers and their customers.
- Vagão do Conhecimento (Knowledge Railroad Car): Photographs are only allowed on the access ramp, respecting the access of schools and visitors to the Park. Note: Inside the space only with permission.
- Photoshoots and footage wearing bikinis, underwear, lingerie and for men, going shirtless.
- Do photographic essays and commercial filming without authorization from the Vale Botanical Park.
