Dialysis Unit Construction
In partnership with the Ministry of Health, Jusoor is funding the construction of a modern dialysis unit in North Al Batinah. The facility aims to ease pressure on the healthcare system and provide patients with timely access to treatment.

Liwa Fish, Fruit, and Vegetable Market
Jusoor funded the construction of a modern, integrated market in Liwa to serve local and neighboring communities. The facility enhances trade, accessibility, and the availability of fresh produce.
3D-Printed Fishermen’s Shades in Liwa and Shinas
Supporting the livelihoods of local fishermen, Jusoor upgraded existing coastal shelters using 3D concrete printing technology. The improved structures offer organized spaces for fishermen to manage their equipment and catch more effectively.

Pedestrian Overpass Bridge
In response to strong community demand and rising safety concerns, Vale completed a pedestrian overpass near Sohar Port — a high-traffic area frequently used by employees, including those from Vale. The bridge addresses the risks of crossing the main road, particularly after the removal of a connecting roundabout.
Liwa Walkway
In collaboration with Liwa Municipality, Vale developed a 1.5 km landscaped walkway complete with seating areas. The project responded to strong community demand, offering residents a safe and dedicated space for daily walks and social interaction.
3D Artificial Reefs
In partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, Vale deployed 3D-printed artificial reefs off the coast of Liwa. The project enhances marine biodiversity and supports sustainable fishing practices, benefiting local fishermen and the coastal ecosystem.
Tatweer Youth Development Program
Launched by Vale, Tatweer is a CSR initiative designed to inspire and equip young Omanis with leadership and entrepreneurial skills. Future Outlook: Pioneering Green Steel & Mega Hubs

Vale Oman is expanding its regional presence through the establishment of Mega Hubs in Oman, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia, aimed at advancing green steel solutions and fostering industrial innovation. In collaboration with governments, communities, NGOs, corporates, and partners, the company is pioneering low-carbon iron production by developing integrated industrial complexes that include briquetting plants operated by Vale. These plants will produce hot-briquetted iron (HBI), supplying both local and international markets and supporting the transition to green steelmaking. This strategy will enable Vale to achieve its goal of reducing Scope 3 emissions by 15% by 2035 and reflects its broader commitment to accelerating the decarbonization of the mining and steel industries.

Key Future Developments

•    Green Briquette Production: Supporting low-carbon steel manufacturing.
•    Renewable Energy Integration: Exploring solar and wind energy for operational efficiency.
•    ICV Growth: Strengthening local supply chains and workforce development.
•    Jinnan Iron & Steel Partnership: Establishing Oman’s first iron ore concentration plant.
•    Mega Hubs Initiative: Creating an integrated green steel ecosystem in the Middle East.
